Spumante charmat that comes from the vinification of grapes obtained from the autochthonous vine Ortrugo, ambassador of the excellence of the hills of Piacenza.
Ortrugo 1960 is brilliant, with an intense straw-yellow color, with fine and persistent perlage. The delicate and fragrant aromas, the fresh and savoury taste, promote this product together ideal for aperitifs and appetizers.

History of the grape variety: The name Ortrugo took place in 1927, when the magazine“Italia Agricola” numbered it among the “most important” white wine grape varieties of the province of Piacenza. After alternating fortunes, at the beginning of the 70’s, in Piacenza gave way to its enhancement which also involved the vinification in purity of its grapes. Since 2010 the Ortrugo has a discipline all its own that includes three types of wine: still, sparkling and sparkling. To know more, click here.
